One of the most creative rhythem-based strategy game I've ever seen

User Rating: 9.5 | Patapon 2: Don-Chaka PSP
Some day, my friends had this game on his PSP. I was like "Patapon? A strange name for a game". I thought the game was targetted for a kids from the way it looks. I was curious and I tell my friend to teach me how to play. It was awesome and I decided to buy it too.

I'm a big fan of rhythm game, so I found this game fits perfectly for me. I found the game is pretty strict, and of course, hard. Not suitable for kids.
So... Patapon is just a brilliant game, the gameplay, the graphic, the storyline, minigames, etc. We can make Rarepons, an upgraded Patapons with a special skills and even leveling them up till they become full grown Patapons. Just like the most strategy game, but with innovative way to play!

Story
To reach Earthends, they must surpass many obstacles. A big bosses, which can kill you in 1 blow, the sandstorms which can burn your patapons to death, facing the outstanding army of Karmens. Brilliant stories.

Sound
The beat of the song is catchy, the sound of the patapons is also cute. Mostly sounded like those barbarian tribes music. It takes us to the realm of wildlifes. With those jungle songs to encourage our spirit. Yeah, spectacular
5/5

Graphic
No, they didn't use the most recent 3D technology or that kind of things. They just get back to the 2D graphics with a modern touch on it. Well, most of the color is black, but somehow it just make the game looks more fabulous

Gameplay
Impressive. I love the gameplay very much. Well, first you have to get used the beat. If you're used to play rhythm game then I suppose its not a big deal to master the game. We have to memorize each moves, and use them at the right time. I suggest you to use headphone to hear the exact beat or if you dont have other choice just look at the square frames on the screen.

I dont have anything to say anymore. Its just superb
I used to be a big fans of NDS because I think their games are creative
But now SCEJ proofs that PSP can be interesting too.
2 thumbs up for Patapon!
