Paper Mario 1 was good, but Paper Mario 2 is even better. It has enhanced graphics, and new bad guys. Finally, Bowser isn't the only one trying to defeat Mario. The graphics are a whole lot brighter than in Paper Mario 1. You can even play as other characters besides Mario: Peach and Bowser. Bowser even has his own levels. However, they are short, but they are still fun. You also get the power of the crystal stars once you get them at the end of each level. There are even jobs you can do that help you get money and one even gives you a partner. Sweet! You can even fight to get you tons of money in the Glitz Pit after you cleared it in the third level (I went back during the seventh level, so I do not know when you can do it). The bosses are also stronger looking as dragons and all that. The levels are also fun, making this game probably the best Paper Mario game the creators ever made.
