Cute golfing with many silly stories and characters. Have a fried chicken wing.

For some reason Scout is taken to another world by Pipin, fairy of space and time! He's invited to participate in something called Pangya Tournament, because he's a descendant of a hero. His father was a Pangya Master and defeated the Dark Lord along with some other humans some time ago.

Now there's a new Dark Lord threatening Pangya Island. Now it's up to scout and his fellow Pangya Tournament competitors to put an end to all this evil.

As most people know this is based on the golf MMO which bears the name of Pangya or Albatross18. There's also a Pangya game for Wii. The gameplay and characters are quite similar, but it's been years since I've been playing that MMO, so I'm not up to date at all. It looks visually the same too; nice, clean and simple graphics.

The characters are basically "bishoujo" girls and "bishounen" guys, except for the policeman and other non-human creatures. Each character with a different story and different purposes in the game. There are three game modes; story mode, Pangya tour mode and network mode.

The gameplay itself is very simple. Select your golf club, aim, press a button for power and press it again to hit the ball. A perfect hit will increase a power-bar and it can be "combined" with a skill. Then it's up to you to keep yourself in the first place. Helpful items can also be used by pressing the start button, as long as you've remembered to stuff things in your Papel, a cute animal-like living shopping bag.

You earn Pang after each game, which is the currency, to buy them new golfing gear, items or clothing. Exclusive items can be acquired through the Papel Shop, that seems like some kind of "capsule toy" mini-game which gives you random things. There is quite a lot of stuff for your characters and you're free to customize them however you want.

That's is basically what the game is about. Simple game that is quite fun when you're bored. As you play, you're also unlocking various trailers, artworks and music that can be heard and seen at the gallery.

The characters stories are easy to follow, they're quite silly actually and sometimes a bit funny. I have yet to try multiplayer, I think that's going to be the most fun!

What bothers me is the short and rather revealing clothes for some of the girls. Especially Kooh, a little pirate girl whose skirts and dresses equals panty-shots only by standing there. Very loli. Bleh.

Conclusion; Pangya: Fantasy Golf is yet another addicting cute golf game!
