Good old classic Pac Man in a very affordable package.

The first Pac Man game on the Arcade is somewhat of a bare-bones affair, but then again that was always his best environment with a large variety of variety poor adaptations over the years with not one of them ever managing to beat the original. In this version some attempt has been made to make the graphics a little less bland with a nice boarder, but other than that it is just the same as the classic arcade version. The sound doesn't get much better, with a series of bleeps and bloops getting rather irritating after a while, but that is what the mute button on your remote is for after all. However where this version shines is in the gameplay, which is almost as good as the original. It isn't too expensive either at 400 points, even considering this is one of the most geriatric releases on the Arcade to date.

This really is just a straight port of classic Pac Man, but the interesting achievements and the successful capture of both the addicting gameplay and charm of the original keeps the mould away from this rapidly aging "pizza-with-a-slice-missing".
