Even if it's easy, the variety and detail leads to a great game.

So, what do you expect in a kart racing game? Lots of tracks, good background music... and of course abilities like powersliding and using different types of weapons. PMWR seems to do pretty good in these departments. Sure, games like Crash Nitro Kart and Mario Kart have things like this, but does that mean this is a rip off? Okay, some parts like powerslide-boosting and boosting off the starting line might be very similar, but they are presented in a still good way in this game. Although the difficulty might not be that large, I had a lot of fun with this game. Though it only took me a few hours to get through all the cups in one difficulty and get to the credits, I spent a lot of time replaying it. Then I started unlocking the rest of the characters and weapons... and i'm still not done doing that. It's a lot of fun when you're playing with friends. There are a ton of (maybe more like a dozen :- ) classic characters to choose from, and they all look pretty smooth. The track design is overall pretty good, and there is enough detail in what is around you to make the game look good. This was my first kart racing game on consoles, and it was pretty fun from the moment I first played it. I'll admit the fun has kinda wore off now and I don't play it as much, but I still sometimes whip it out and bump cars with some friends. Even if this game seems a bit kiddish, that does not mean it can't be fun too.
