Pac-Man World 2 is a relaxing fun game. This game is perfect for a time when you want to play something light hearted.
This game was the first game on the PS2 I ever played, and is definitely the most addictive game I ever played (for it's time). It may not have the amazing graphics and cool as weaponry; however there is a reason for that. This is one of those games that are made just to give you a break from all the extreme stuff like Halo and Call of Duty.
The graphics aren't supposed to look perfect, however the graphics fit the concept of the game very well. To be honest a Pac-Man game with perfect graphics wouldn't excactly feel right.
This game is very far from an action packed shooter; instead you will have the ablity to bounce on people's heads (Butt-Bounce) and charge up an extremely fast ram (Rev-Roll Ram). Both of these will knock the enemies into Pac-Man heaven. He will also have the ability to swim, ice-skate, rollerblade and even control a sumbmarine throughout the game.
Pac-Man is very devoted to platforming, probably the most devoted I have ever seen in a video game. The platforming is great, however very few times does it become challenging.
The level design fit's the Pac-Man concept perfectly. There are seven different regions, each having three levels and an additional boss battle. They are all the typical places in video games; Village, Forest, Woods/Treetops, Snow, Volcanoe, Ocean and Ghost Island. They are all just as enjoyable as each other, however once you get to Ghost Island the game becomes more intense and loses it's job of being a fun, happy game.
Of course what would a Pac-Man game be without ghosts, pac-dots and fruit. These three are all seen throughout the game. To beat the game 100% you must collect every pac-dot and every piece of fruit. This is the most difficult part of the game, especially in the later levels.
Adding to that, what would a Pac-Man game be without mazes; there is a maze in each level, they are hidden in particularly hard spots. The mazes are designed to look like the level you are playing.
Pac-Man World 2 is a relaxing fun game. This game is perfect for a time when you want to play something light hearted.
