Choose your own presentation, then add the gameplay and there you have a much more frantic pac-man.
As far as presentation is concerned, it's entirely your choice on customizing your maze visuals, the characters, the music and even the colour scheme. This is something that is not worth reviewing about. Just go through all of the options and you'll find your perfect combination. Not to mention the pretty and easy-to-navigate menus.
Pac-man DX encourages you to score. Eating fruit makes more pellets and ghosts appear. Ghosts are found sleeping to start with but if you go past them, they'll wake up and start chasing you in a conga line. Now, once you collect a power pellet, you can eat the whole conga line of ghosts that were following you as well as the ghosts that are still sleeping, and I've got to tell you, it is the most satisfying moment I've had in gaming in such a long time.
In order to get the best score possible, you can watch videos of the very best scores on the leaderboard and think "Ah, I knew what I did wrong there. I'll try that again." Also, when you're playing, the game goes into slow-motion when you're about to get caught by a ghost. If there's no escape, you can use bombs which take all of the ghosts that are awake back to there house and start hunting you again in the matter of about 5 seconds. However, depending on what difficulty you're on, you only get a limited amount of bombs so be careful when there's something strange in the neighbourhood, the ghost busters won't always be there.
Thanks to the addictiveness and the varied presentation in the game modes, you'll be going on forever trying to get the best scores and taking on the world.
Pac-man DX is a fast-paced, addictive, satisfying, fun and beautiful maze game. With customizable presentation and addictive gameplay, you couldn't be more wrong when deciding not to get this game.
