Arcade-style driving action at its best!
The gameplay is incredibly addicting. Its design, though simple, is easy to pick up and doesn't get old. And there is nothing quite as fun as drifting at 175 MPH. The drifting is a blast once you get the hang of it, though it takes a while to perfect your technique.
The graphics are pretty good. The car models work very well and the background look fantastic. There are a few moments where the frame rate will drop, when there are several Ferraris and traffic onscreen, but these moments are very few and don't really detract from the gameplay.
The sound is also very good, with squealing tires when you drift, roaring engines as you pass other cars, and cheering fans as you pass the grandstands. The background music also works well, keeping the game very fast-paced feeling.
The game will also last you awhile, with the missions, 8 Ferraris to unlock, and several extra courses that are very interesting to drive.
All in all, Outrun 2 is a great game that no fan of arcade racing should pass up.
