It really isn't fair to call Orphen a game. One can more accurately describe it as a bunch of decent looking anime slides tied together with uniteresting, broken "gameplay". Combat is lackluster, confusing, and more often than not as unenjoyable as the old school Nintendo hack and slash games where hit detection was random and cruel. Despite the fact that the game is relatively nice looking, nothing about the graphics make the title really stand out in any significant way. The plot is rather weak and follows many of the conventions laid out in other anime games, again nothing that exciting. Fans of anime will find their time better spent watching a season of Dragon Ball for the 400th time and the rest of the world will be better off thinking that this game never existed.
