Is people getting bored from videogaming. There was a revolution which started with PS. PS2 was its natural step forward to better graphics. But... was it the natural step forward to deeper games which involve the gamer to be "fit for gaming"?
Leaving aside the tank style controls, which added a good thrill while shooting and escaping from dumb zombies, does not fit in a game where a quick response is needed due to the perfect timing and perfect maneuvering that is needed to kill those not so dumb demons.
Campcom guys have risked a lot, as Konami has, as Hideo Kojima productions has, ...
Sometimes things come out in the way people love, others don't. However we should never blame games for their fresh ideas (Like the gift exchange in order to change the very storyline) Trust me I have seen it before when the river gets dry. And what the hell happens then with videogamers: They get bored, they start practicing sports, they start thinking, socializing,...
Do we want that? Only joking.
In this stage of videogaming when we have almost (Arguably) reach the level of the games, of the digital interactive storytelling, to be artistic creations which can compete with any other human artistic creation, we should be more indulgent with some new ideas if they have quality.
Long live Onimusha!
Long live Capcom guys who give us enternteinment!
