I was really let down after getting my hopes up high.

I wanted to play this game for the longest and finally found a new copy. Heard mixed reviews didn't think the game would be as bad as they said but I was wrong. It's an earlier game so some things are forgivable like the graphics, and silly stuff like that but, It has that early rockstar game play issues. The controls are really annoying and the gameplay can be more difficult that it needs to be. The enemies in the game hit you with dead on precision while your trying to reload or run for your life. You character doesn't have much health and can go down fast. The aiming systems is not the greatest as you may not be able to aim so easily because of the controls but your enemies are already locked on. The boss battles so far are okay they are pretty interesting.

What I do like about the game are the taunts your character can throw, the option of using a gun or combat fighting moves. There's a lot of freedom there but the controls don't make it as fun as they meant to be. I like the art work and the scheme of the game all that is pretty nice.

The difficulty really is a let down. I haven't gotten anywhere really without using a code for health, or ammo. Me using cheats is a NO NO. A game has too be seriously hard for me to even think about it but after dying 50+ times in the 2nd stage I got frustrated and gave in. The game is harder than it needs to be because of the control problems and programming issues, and it just kills the game from being fun. It's a 50/50 classic. Half love it and half hate it. I gave up for now but I'll try it again when I have more patience. It's a hard game and I want to beat it the legit way but it's not a game for everyone.
