Okami is an extremely fun and original game. Probably number 2 of best video games in the entire world next to ssbb.

User Rating: 10 | Okami (French) PS2
Okami is a game where you play as the wolf amaterasu, accompanied by the grass sprite, Issun, you embark on an epic adventure of great proportions. You play the game knowing that 100 years ago you helped the greatest warrior that ever lived, Nagi, who slayed the evilest of evil demons, Orochi the eight-headed dragon demon who has controlled the land of Nippon for millenia, with your help. 100 years ago you were called Shiranui and helped the great warrior Nagi defeat the demon who killed many of the land. But in the verry same legend you and the great Nagi killed Orochi, you died and you were at your peak in weapons and brush strokes.

You go through the game using things called divine intruments. They are your basic weapons. There are three types of divine intruments you get throughout the game and you can get up to four versions of these types. You have your normal instruments which are like tablets shaped like circles which you can sling at your enemies. You have what is called rosary which is a type of weapon which normally consists of about 6 - 15 beads which you use as like a whip. And finnaly you have glaives which basically are swords that you slash left to right. You can also put your instruments as sub weapons which alow you to press ▲ so you can use a certain new power mattering what weapon it is.
▲ Button Attacks:
Tablet Coins (Normal Instruments)
- ▲ = Block
Rosary
- ▲ = shoot single or all beads (limited ammo with rejuvination)
Glaives
- ▲ = Forward slash or uppercut
- Charge ▲ = Power Slash or Power uppercut
- Jump ▲ = Air Charge stab

These aren't your only weapons in Okami though oh no! You have this other power called brush strokes. If you hit the R1 button and hold it, a paint brush will appear on the screen and the natural world will turn as brown as burnt paper (exageration). You can press and hold the square button you will start painting. You can hold down X while you are painting to move faster (which is what pros as myself do). You can also press and hold the ▲ button and a huge glob of paint, or a tincy weency line will appear depending on how rough you are holding the control stick. You can do many things with these brush strokes, to be exact, a whopping 13.

Okami is a beautiful game with its amazing graphics. I could get into a whole new review with those but I won't waste anymore time. Try the game for yourself, I did, and I loved it enough to name it the second best game of all time behind ssbb. This is why I rate Okami for the ps2 and Wii...A sunny day's 10 out of 10!
