A not-too-hard, not-too-easy game that will have you coming back for more.

I had been meaning to get Okami for a couple years after seeing my friend playing it on her PS2. Mechanics of the game seemed phenomenal, and the game had graphics unique to it solely.

The storyline of the game is wonderful--at first, I felt a little bit dissatisfied because the overall story arc seemed short, but the game isn't actually as short as it seems. The overarching story line takes you through a smaller story that fits perfectly into a larger story that takes you exploring the entire world that you're given.

The main story line will take up most of your adventuring, but sidequests in the story also ensure that you won't be spending all of your time on the main story line.

The battle system is fairly cool--three different weapons allow for different difficulties in battle, depending on how new you are to the game and the battle mechanics. My personal favorites are the rosaries which allow you to score a multitude of weaker hits which every strike, and the WiiMote seems perfectly designed for the rosary battle system since the rosaries act as a whip off of Amaterasu's body.

My only complaint is that sometimes, the camera angle makes gameplay a bit difficult.
