Amazing graphics and sound; I feel like I'm in Nippon (Japan) every time I play it... which is a very good thing!

When I first heard of Okami and that it was a “Calligraphy Game”, I actually thought to myself, ‘A Calligraphy Game? That’s very original; but how will that ever work out on the Playstation 2? Wouldn’t they need to put this game on the DS if it were a calligraphy game because of the stylus? I’m confused…’

Boy, was I ever wrong.

This game is amazing in graphics, sound and originality. It is also very easy to play; because so far I’ve played 3 hours on it and I haven’t had any difficulty playing it.

The graphics are wonderful to look at every time you play it. It’s just so rich and full of colorful details that I can’t stop looking at them.

I also love the soundtrack to the game. It sets you in the mood of the game. But the only bad thing about the sound is that little voice when the words come onto the screen. It kind of got on my nerves for the first hour, but then I got use to it and now it’s not so bad.

I would recommend it to anyone who digs the Japanese culture, feudal or not, or just anyone who wants something different and original.
