This is a brilliant remake of an instant classic from start to finish since the PC and Playstation days!

When I first played Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee on the PC back 17 years ago, I only knew a little about the game since my older brother got the game for his 16th birthday back then. 2 years later in 2001 I started to know more about the game after I played the sequel to the first one which was Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus on the PC as well. Both of those games were brilliant in the end. But then a few years later the third sequel came out on Microsoft Xbox which was Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee which I didn't play. Then 9 years later in September 2012, Oddworld Inhabitants started to go indie and joined forces with an indie developer J.A.W aka Just Add Water from my country the UK of course and announced an HD remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee called Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty at Eurogamer Expo 2012 at Earl's Court Exhibition Centre in London. After seeing a pre-alpha demo and a load of trailers of the game plus gameplay footage of it which looked fantastic, the game finally came out firstly on Playstation 4 and received very good reviews. I first tried out the game on the Playstation 4 at EGX 2014 at Earl's Court Exhibition Centre (when it was hosting it there for the very last time before it got demolished by Kensington and Chelsea Council a year later), and then again on the Wii U as a demo at EGX 2015 and the NEC in Birmingham UK (Not Birmingham Alabama USA for you yanks!) the game looked absolutely brilliant in stunning HD!

Then 5 months later into the first few months of 2016, the game was finally released on the Wii U and I was so happy it finally came out on the Wii U eshop and downloaded it.

The Game itself is played with the Wii U Game Pad only not the Wii U Pro Controller as well which is a shame and there are more Mudokons to save in this remake because in the original game you have to save 99 Mudokons but this time you have to save 299 Mudokons in this remake which makes the game more challenging than the original. The Gamespeak has been updated with a new "All O Ya" speaking ability from Abe's Exxodus in which Abe has the ability to call out to big number of Mudokons in one section of Rupture Farms plus the existing abilities from the original game stay as they are including the farting noise's Abe does when doing memory games in order to pass through a section of the game. Abe still has the ability to pull levers, throw grenades, rocks, meat and possessing and taking control of Sligs but not Paramites, Scrabs or Glukkons becuase they don't work on them. The game itself is so nicely updated with beutifully remastered HD Graphics and this will keep you coming back for more for a much tougher challenge in the future the next time you play it.
