No One Lives Forever 2 is the best game ever made.

And why is that -- simply because it has great graphics for the year it's been made in, has fantastic gameplay, great places, decent humor, decent sound and music. What could you possibly ask for more? Oh, right, the story... has a great long story, full of funny, twisted and a few dramatic events, though they all have an happy ending.

You are in control of Cate Archer, a top agent working for UNITY, which fights against HARM's mischievous plans along the game, as the title suggests. The game follows mostly a linear gameplay, though you have some optional missions, that are great for achieving extra skill points. These points can be used to improve Cate's abilities, like Stealth, Weapons, Gadgets, Armor and many others, which make the playing easier and more accessible. Though it has 15 Chapters and countless levels, each part of this game is an exciting and interesting adventure among beautiful places such as Japan or India, but many other, although these are the most notable. There is an interesting mission in Akron, Ohio, in which there is an extraordinary shaped tornado, which proves to be an obstacle when fighting the ninjas.

A good thing about this game is that you almost never get out of ammo. Well, when you first begin your missions in India, you're not allowed to kill your enemies, as they are misinformed policemen, so in case they spot you, you'll either need to run and hide, which is the best choice, or knock them off, but here's the problem. You only have lethal armament. Hiding gets easier if more skill points are acquired and Stealth mode is upgraded.

Though every level is different, each of it is an exciting experience. It's a long story to play through, and each chapter and level it's a success from every bit. There are simply, no other games like this one. I need to say that I enjoyed the music, which fitted every mission perfectly, and didn't changed the atmosphere, just did the playing more addictive.

I am sorry to say, but I have never found, since 2002, games as good as this one. I was waiting all these years for a sequel, but nothing, which is quite disappointing, as I've seen that there are unfinished business between Cate, and HARM. Let's just continue to hope that Monolith will take in consideration the desire of many fans that expressed their wish for a sequel through polls and not only.

A 10/10.
