Poor Game, it looks good and seems cool but at the end its just button mashing....poor

User Rating: 5 | Ninja Gaiden Sigma PS3
After reading a few reviews about this game i thought why not try such a highly rated game, i regret the day i purchased it. Firstly the graphics are pretty impressive, the layout the story all the ninja feel to the game is nothing short of quality. When u try out the array of moves available to you, its a pretty cool game. The characters and enemies are well designed too. But its greatest shortcoming is the actual game play and probably the physics behind the whole game. maybe GOW spoiled this game for me because you want to feel like you are in control of a battle which is not the case in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Its more trial and error than anything else, no real strategy, the blocking is sometimes effective. Let me not get started on the camera issues, i wonder how this game got a 9 rating from gamespot, u cant even write it in the same sentence as GOW3.

The combat strikes me as button mashing more than anything else, i gave it to a four year old boy to see how he would do and a few hours he was telling me he was on chapter six, and he didnt know how he had done it except hit as many buttons as fast as possible... Dissapointing effort for the hype i have heard about this title. I will probably not try another game in this series as i dont have time to play everything, infact i wont even finish this one, will look to trade it in and wait for the next GOW game or something which feels like your skill makes a difference.
