Awesome Action, not for the weak gamer.

If ye' be of limp thumb and short patience then go no further. This game presents steadily excellent difficulty. It will almost always challenge and never in a cheap way. You just have to be good. I myself being, ahem, an accomplished long time gamer found the game to be a challenge, but nowhere approaching impossible. I pride myself on being able to defeat every game that I buy and never did I despair of that whilst playing Ninja Gaiden 2. But I digress, if you are a casual gamer or someone who is easily frustrated this one may not be for you. Waves and waves of enemies of ever increasing skill will hound your every step. Fortunately Ninja Gaiden 2 gives you some varied weapons to choose from. Each one has its own capabilites that can help you decimate certain opponents. The action is straight forward and the combat never feels repetitive even though this is in essence a button masher. That's not to say there aren't any combos and you are rewarded for being a skilled masher. The attacks feel weighty and pulling off a series of awesome blows is very satisfiying. Not to mention the fact that the enemies are obliterated in gory bloody fashion. The visuals in this game are perfectly fine and there are some impressive settings. You will notice a small amount of slow down, but its nothing that stops the action. The game is in no way glitchy. However the camera sometimes struggles with the task of keeping up with the action, but it never was bad enough to cause me great pains and lets face it there's usually a lot going on. The music for this game is excellent! So much so that I had to procure an mp3 for "the hero" so I could listen to it at the gym, its that triumphant. The story is bland and told in a very choppy manner only to set up each new set piece, but who gives a crap.

Summation: Gaiden 2 lives up to the series and is a blast, just bring your A game!
