this is an example of games that, having lots of potential, end up being extremely dissapointing and a waste of money

this game has one of the best trailers i have seen and i dont even know why. you just feel that you HAVE to play the game. the first time i played this game i thought: "ok, this isnt that bad". But that was only the first hour. i made the mistake of playing all, just because i felt petty for the game producers... and because sometimes it was just so bad it was funny.
first of all, graphics are not all that bad. the problem are the infinite bugs you'll find through the whole game. there are so many it's insulting. as i said, the first hour ( or probably the 20 min), it wont be that bad, until you hear the disastrous voice acting, and the amazingly poor job that the game designers made with the character movement ( and speaking). whenever you see a video you just want to skip it.
then we have the gameplay, which i have to admit, wasn't THAT bad. but all the fancy trick that involve almost every button in the controller are worthless; you'll do a lot more damage if to stick to the basics.despite some flaws with the attack system, seeing a huge wave of enemy coming towards and killing all of them just feels awesome. this the only thing that make me wanna keep playing, until you die and you have to start all over again.. yep that's it. no checkpoints... besides that some of the bosses are ridiculously hard: maybe because they have tons of hp or you just dont find a suitable attack. another thing i have to point out are your soldiers, honestly i just ignored them because in the end it was as if they werent there. one attack every 30 seconds or so, low xp. you were lucky if they were alive after a big ( but no so big battle). the only rewarding part of the game was the final boss, because you had a clear/ interesting challenge. although i'm not sure if it was that or the fact that it was the last stage and after that my conscience would let me play another game.
finally, the game is just barely playable because the sum of its part are somehow not that bad: the interesting history, the huge armies and the cool attacks save this game from an absolut demerit.
