F1 Game with outstanding graphics (for the SNES) and is highly enjoyable.

User Rating: 8.5 | Nigel Mansell F-1 Challenge SNES
Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing is a superb and enjoyable racing game.

Graphics: You are given a realistic in-car view, and the graphics in this game are outstanding and realistic by SNES standards. It is by far one of the best-looking games on the SNES. Inability to switch view is the only flaw (but I have not yet seen a SNES game that provides that option).

Sound: The sound is decent, with a simple pattern for the menus and the ability to hear other cars around you. The sound of your own car, though, is unfortunately quite monotonous and, after a while, can become annoying.

Physics: The physics are that of a typical arcade racer, with no damage, and obstacles which merely slow you down for going off track. You can go flat out through most corners, and tight hairpins are rendered as just mere corners. If you're after a Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix type game for SNES, then keep looking, but if you're after a fun racer, then this is for you.

Realism: The game has the advantage of an official licence, but unfortunately you can only compete as Nigel Mansell. Your opponents include Gerhard Berger in the McLaren, a young Michael Schumacher in the Benetton and Jean Alesi in the Ferrari. Ayrton Senna is not included due to licensing issues.

Value: If you see this game, and you're looking for an F1 game on your SNES, then don't hesitate to buy this game as it is a valuable addition to any F1 fans SNES collection.
