For those who don't know Nicktoons are what Nickelodeon's cartoon characters are called. Nicktoons: Freeze Frame Frenzy is about Nicktoons and their worlds. There have been sightings where Nicktoons from other worlds have been appearing in the wrong worlds. So when the boy genius Jimmy Neutron finds out about these sightings, he calls on a group of Nicktoons to go and investigate what's going on. Gameplay in Nicktoons: Freeze Frame Frenzy is pretty simple. The game starts out in Jimmy's lab, where you can choose your level (called worlds in the game) and Nicktoon to play as. Only Otto Rocket and Spongebob are available at the beginning, but more characters become available as you play. In a level, your Nicktoon goes around taking pictures of other Nicktoon characters in that world. When your Nicktoon spots an out of place characters, they need to take their picture a few times in order to send them back to their correct world. Some characters are hidden too, so there is some challenge. There's also a goal score in each level, meeting this score lets you continue to the next level. There's also a boss level at the end of each world. This game was fun, also trying to beat your high score adds some replay to it. Graphics in this game are really nice for a Game Boy Advance game. The levels are colorful and detailed, they even capture the style of their cartoon. Characters look great too, Fairly Odd Parents characters have that solid color look, Jimmy even almost looks like the computer animated character on the show. The sound is alright, the music is good, but the sound effects were a bit repetitive. Nicktoons: Freeze Frame Frenzy was a pretty fun, cartoon themed game. The game was fun to play, the graphics were great, and trying to beat your high score added some replay value to this game. Whether you're a fan of a specific Nicktoon, like all Nicktoons, or just a kid at heart, Nicktoons: Freeze Frame Frenzy is a good game to play.
