This game is what you would expect in a hockey game, it's all generic game play shoot the puck and check people when on defense. The only thing that stands out on game play is the fighting it is pretty fun, but short all you do is use L2 and R2 to keep your balance and then X to weak punch and O to strong punch. I think the best part is when the players start fighting the arena plays the cop's theme through the whole fight. Game modes consist of franchise, season, pond hockey, mini-rink, shootout, and practice. Franchise and season don't have anything special about them, just normal franchise and season modes. Pond Hockey encase you're stupid, it's where you play hockey on a pond. Also encase you're stupid mini-rink is where you play hockey on a mini ice-rink. Shootout is just like doing a shootout at the end of a game and practice is self explanatory. Aside from the game the amount of jersey selection is amazing, every team has at least four different jerseys to pick from and most have 6-10 different ones to pick from. Overall I would really give this a 7.9 not a 7.5, but I can't do that. I would give it an 8.0, but it just comes short of the 8.0 expectations!
