Pretty much NHL '08 with updated rosters for this season...

If you have played NHL '08, this game is pretty much the same game. The same ease of scoring a goal is still there. (Using the veteran controls, fake a shot, deek and shoot into the wide open net you just created)
The only cool thing about the game this year is the new feature 'Be a Pro'. I am only 8 games into the season and my pro already has 15 goals and 5 assists (I play as a RW on the 3rd line) Also when you start the season your rating is something like a 63, yet somehow the game wants you to be on the starting line and treats you pretty much as though you are already a star on the team.
I think this game has potential to build upon some of these new ideas and hopefully will create a great game for next season. Also a NCAA Hockey game would kick @ss too (kind of do like NCAA Football and Madden with the be a pro thing)

Overall, if you are in the mood to play some hockey this season I suggest just sticking to NHL '08 if you have it. If not, just rent it or borrow a game from a friend.

    It's just like NHL06,NHL07,NHL08 but EA put even less time into it.
