A disgrace to the Street name.

User Rating: 6.5 | NFL Street 3 PS2
NFL Street 3 is the last of the NFL Street's, and it seems EA wants to finish with a bang. Well, it wasen't what EA was looking for. Once you start off, you have three modes, which are Quick Play, which is self-explantory, Exhibition, which is also self-explantory, and Respect The Street. Respect The Street is a mode were you take a bunch of rookies, and put them up against other rookie teams. When you gain enough respect, you will be able to move onto diffrent locals, and face against NFL pros and their squads. And, you can also put them up against NFL teams. Well, ain't that great? You also get some new varitions of the game, including Playbook Elimniation, which is were you start off with a few plays and if that play is incomplete or if you lose yardage, it is gone. There are also the same little mini-games from Street 2, so that is good. Where the game really goes bad, is the new moves. Now, the air can be used as a advantage, and you can do flips and rolls in the air. Wow! But there are still the old wall moves like jukes, and it seems like now that the computer never uses them. Also, the voice acting is slightly better than in Street 2, but it still is not up to par. Also, the soundtrack is one of the best of the NFL Street series, which might be one of the few things NFL Street 3 does good. But, with the good comes the bad. It seems like EA put to many moves onto the buttons, and the control scheme feels more like it is suited for the XBOX controller than the PS2's controller. And also, you can now collect, well, collictibles, and one of those collectibles are footballs. These little footballs range from teams balls to the classic NFL Street ball. While this give Street 3 a little more life, it is only just a little gimmick that you might not really care for. All in all, Street 3 is a okay finish to the Street title, but with many fumbles, this might be the biggest disgrace to the Street name. Play the other Street titles if you can't wait for NFL Tour. (Which i assure you, is a NFL Street title, but it is in disguise.)
