Good base to build on, but just get Madden

This game had so much potential, however it really falls short. The game is fun at first but after the third week of games it becomes repetitive. Offseason mode is alright but isn't much of an improvement over madden. If anything Madden is easier to navigate and makes more sense when it comes to scouting players, both free agents and for the draft.

They really dropped the ball with the draft, arguably the most exciting part of the real offseason.. Mel Kiper is a nice addition however rarely do his comments make sense, I drafted a kicker and he just went on and on about his athletism. The order where players are drafted is odd, Reggie Bush frequently drops out of the top 15, AJ Hawk is always number one. Your scouting director is a complete idiot telling me to draft positions where I had plenty of depth.

In season it's just doing drills every week day, which is ok but not a blast. The games are also just alright, it's fun to call the plays and motivate the players however both after awhile become frustrating. Their no rhyme or reason to how the players act to you both when you try to motivate them or when you try and teach them strategy. Play calling becomes frustrating because you have to sit back and watch, I know that's the point of the game but you don't reliaze how frustrating it is until you do it.

I'm a diehard NFL fan but this game is just too mundane, and the load times, my god the load times, I have no idea how a game like this could require so much loading, but after everything you have to load and it takes forever.

Overall this could be a good game in the future but for now just stick with Madden, it moves faster and it's just more fun all around.
