NFL Blitz is a game that can only be described as "The Greatest Football Game Ever Made".
The gameplay is, well, just plain stunning. The creators made the field seem really small so you could make many touchdowns in seconds. You can, many times, score in one play. The first downs are also 30 yards! It is a great change to football. It is as easy, if not easier, to get a first down in a football simulator game. The tackles are another aspect of the game that make it revolutionary. They are downright vicious and filled with carnage. You can even body slam your opponent after the play is over.
The graphics are great too. That is, for an N64 game. The people look huge and bulky, just like in the real NFL. The quarterbacks are thinner than the lineman, but they still look really big. I think that adds a sense of brutality to the game.
The sound is great too. The crowd goes wild when you score, and you hear the grunting and moaning of the players a lot. They get tossed around, so what do you expect them to do? You even sometimes here the player say something during a celebration in the inzone.
The replay value is simply awesome. You can keep coming back to this game for years to come. You can create plays, which adds to this aspect. This game is a must buy football game for any N64 owner. If you don't have this game, you should be ashamed of yourself. This is going to be a game that many people will get for the Wii.
