I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!

I own a Gamecube and Madden 04. I love sports and playing sports video games, namely football games. But Madden turns me off because for whatever reason, I'm no good at it. NFL 2K1 is a great game because the skill level can be adjusted to suit me. I can destroy the CPU on easy level, but when I get bored of that, I can bump it up for some stiffer competion. The graphics are suprisingly good for the Sega, and it is simply a great game. One note about the learning curve is that you can learn to play it in half an hour, but it takes much longer to really get good at it.

Things to know:
1. Master the spin move. This is a great open field move. I have gotten more freebie TD's with this one simple move than all other moves combined. But remember, timing is everything!!!
2. Master the juke move. Again, this helps in the open field when there is only one or two men to beat. You have little control over which way you juke, however.
3. On defense, line up with three or four down lineman and select the one on your right side of the screen. Move him over until only about half of him is visible on the screen. PAY ATTENTION TO BEING ONSIDE!! When the snap comes, rush the quarterback in a straight line. 8 times out of 10, you will get to the QB virtually unblocked. A great way to rack up lots of sacks! This does not work very well on running plays, however.
