Something tells me this should've earned a Old-School reward.

Now THIS is a game that is about you saving Princess Peach, again. But, it's been a while since Mario has been 2D, but this is obviously a great game for DS, because Mario came back to his roots here. If you want a portable version of New. Super Mario Bros. Wii, here's your biggest chance to play it. Let's go over the goodies.

The story isn't a big deal in Mario games, because it's the same thing every time, if you don't count those fake ones that obviously failed. If you don't know the drill, it's Princess Peach has been captured, and you must save her. I really don't care about the story in Mario games (Except Paper Mario ones, those have something different), so, I guess it's good?

The controls, eh? Controls are pretty good, but you only have two ways to customize it, though when you find one that fits you, it takes time to get used to. If you don't like holding your DS very long, good for you, because sometimes you'll get hand cramps.

The GAMEPLAY is what matters in Mario games. Now, the older ones (Played them in Mario All-Stars, good times) make me get frustrated when I get to a level that is a pain the butt, so what do I play when I get to that? I play this, because it's something you can enjoy. Now, just a reminder to those hard-core Mario fans. This game is easier than most Mario games, so don't expect something like Lost Levels. I beat this game in about 20 hours, so yes, it's that long.

(SPOILER ALERT!!!): This game has a twist at the end, right when you think the game ends, like in the first game. I won't tell you though!

Final Appeal: 9.5/10
This game is something that should be on your "Buy It Now" list right now. It's amazing. You like Mario's 2D roots? Run to over here, fast.
