This game brings back good memories and adds some extra features into the mix. You did good Nintendo.

We all remember the time we played the first super mario bros. It was the start of the famous Italian plumber and the fame of Nintendo. Over the years we have had many other famous Mario titles. From super mario world to super mario 64 to super mario galaxy. Now Nintendo came back to the original 2-D platform. Will this be a success or will this suck miserably?


Story: It is the birthday of Princess Peach and Mario, Luigi, and two toads are there to celebrate. The cake comes and all of a sudden, Bowser Jr. and the other kooplings come out of the cake and nab the princess.....AGAIN! I know this is mario and story is not a major factor but come on at least try Nintendo. You did it with SMG, oh well. Now it is up to Mario and the gang to save the princess.

Gameplay: Like the original game, get to the goal! This time around they give you wacky stages to complete, awesome power-ups, and Fun but Frustrating boss stages. I had to use Super Guide to help me out with castle 6. The line of power-ups are amazing. The flying mushroom is one of my favorites. So is the penguin suit. People make fun of these costumes but if they help you at least once. then in is good. The ice flower also makes an appearance, allowing you to freeze enemies and pick them up to throw them at others.
The only disappointment is that they took out the mega-shroom but we can live with it. Yoshi also makes an appearance, but sadly not in many levels. Now the new stages, one word for it, amazing. There is a level where there are orbs of water floating in the air that you can swim through. A deadly roller-coaster ride and fight with Bowser Jr. that evolves knocking him into an electric boarder. It is just a little too hard, I started losing loads of lives by world 3!

Multi-player: CrAzY!, you can jump of characters and pick them up and throw them to there DOOM! People hate the bubble idea but I think it is smart. Some people may suck at a level but a friend may be great at it. So, you can sit back while your friend is struggling to stay alive.

Well as you came see, this game was awesome. Well worth your money. If you don't have this game, then get it.
