New Rally-X Is One Of Those Games That Just Could Have Been Much Better.

THE BAD : Achievements Are Very Easy, Poor Graphics, The Sound Is Dull, The Gameplay Gets Really Old Really Fast.

New Rally-X was released in the arcades in the early 1980s, it didn't really have a strong fanbase then so it doesn't really have a strong fanbase now.
For 400 Microsoft Points you can buy New Rall-X except the only difference between this and other arcade games is this actually gets boring.
Gameplay : The Gameplay in New Rally-X is very simple, you control a little blue car and your objective is to venture around the maze like course's and collect Checkpoints while trying to avoid the evil red cars.
There is a little bit of difference in the mazes but they are not big differences so it doesn't really change the Gameplay at all. There are 3 types of Checkpoint flags, there is your normal checkpoint flag that each time you pick up gives you score and then there is Special Checkpoint flag which doubles your score for the normal flags and last is the Lucky Flag which gives you score depending on how much fuel you have.
The evil Red Cars have dumb AI and they glitch all too often.
Graphics : The graphics are poor, Konima haven't bothered to add a graphics upgrade at all unlike some other arcade games. Your Blue Car just moves around on a non moving level thats all, at least the smokescreens have animation.
Sound : Besides the cool tune at the start of each level the sound isn't very good, if you pick up a checkpoint flag you will hear beeping kinda noise and if you pick up a Lucky Flag you will hear a counting kinda sound that gets annoying after a while. The sound could have been better if they had more variety in the music, there is also explosion sounds which are pretty stupid.
All in all New Rally-X isn't the worst game i have ever played but it surely isn't the best.
If you are looking for some easy Gamerscore then look no further but if you are looking for an arcade game that will give you gours and hoirs of fun look else where because this isn't very fun.
