I love slice and dice kinds of games and when I first saw Neverdead I was completely sure that it will be awesome. When I watched the trailers I couldn't wait for this title. Finally, Neverdead is in my hands and I want to say that this title really isn't that bad as many reviewers say.

First of all, our protagonist Bryce is a 500 years old demon hunter whose sense of humor I just love. He always cooperates with his sexy and gorgeous female partner. I like characters who have Bryce's personality that is why I don't care if someone says that he is dumb. Funny and cocky characters are awesome in my opinion. Moreover, the world of Neverdead is full of many demons and it's up to us to stop them because we work for the agency which deals with such creatures. So the world and story concept aren't very original but who cares? It looks awesome and I love playing as a demon hunter. Bryce is a cool hero and I don't care if someone doesn't like him. I hate serious characters who don't talk much and fortunately Bryce is the opposite just like Dante from DMC series.

The gameplay is pretty sweet in Neverdead, we have many outstanding and deadly weapons like dual pistols, machine guns, shotgun, grenade launcher and a sword of course. Every cool demon hunter needs a sword am I right? Yeah, so the sword is really sweet and I was using it very often. We all know that our protagonist is immortal so the only thing demons can do to us is to decapitate our body. But be aware that little baby demons can eat our head and if that happens then it's game over baby. Also, we must take care of our lady sidekick because she isn't immortal. What is more, sometimes the gameplay can become frustrating when demons decapitate us and we are not able to find the rest of our body because of the bad camera angles. It happens to often so it may be frustrating. The action is very dynamic and we will fight many times and again the gameplay may become repetitive because we are slashing the same demons over and over again. Fortunately, it's not a huge disadvantage. The missions are interesting and have cool design and the environment can be destroyed and used against our enemies. For example, shoot the ceiling and it will fall down killing a demon. It's really nice. During the game we can buy new abilities which will surely help us later on. For me, the gameplay is really outstanding overall. I know that Neverdead has some other minor flaws but it really doesn't matter here, because I just like this game. There are many grotesque and great moments in Neverdead. The relationship between Bryce and his partner is very funny. At least Bryce talks all the time and has a personality. He is not an ordinary 'puppet' who doesn't talk at all.

The graphics are preety good, not the best in the business but still really nice. Especially the explosions look outstanding and the fire itself is very realistic.

The soundtracks in Neverdead is a masterpiece. Megadeth did an awesome job and the music fits in the game just perfect. Killing demons while listening to some hard pieces of rock is fantastic. The voice over is well done, well of course, there are games which have implemented more profesional voice over, but in Neverdead it isn't a flaw.

To sum up, despite all the bad things which many reviewers say about Neverdead, I think that this title is an outstanding slice and dice game with interesting characters, some survival horror situations and humor. It is also innovative due to the idea of being immortal. Moreover, Slashing hordes of demons is exciting here despite some flaws. If you like Devil May Cry series that Neverdead is for you. Don't listen to those people who say that this is a crappy title. Of course, some will love Neverdead, some will hate it. The game is not perfect, but hey, I still love it and I'm totally sure that buying Neverdead was not a mistake. I can't wait for Neverdead 2.
