Steer well clear of Neuro Hunter

User Rating: 2.8 | Neuro Hunter PC
I think the reason Neuro Hunter was released was because of it's low budget. No doubt the project manager decided to continue production of the game due to the development costs being so low, no matter how bad the final product is.

I've already devoted more time to this "review" of Neuro Hunter than the game deserves, but perhaps I better mention the one new feature the game brings to the table.

Normally with in-game cutscenes with voice acting, characters will continue to speak unless interrupted by a button press. In Neuro Hunter it's the opposite, the characters will not speak until prompted by a click of the left mouse button.

When you combine that, with a 10 minute "scene" with some of the worst dialog and worst voice acting you've ever heard, let's just say that the developer's of this game have managed to redefine tedious.

I can't even think of a redeeming feature of what I just "played". The music is awful, the graphics might have been acceptable in 2000, the in-game interface is a failure and gameplay is non-existant.

However this game might be fun for people who are attracted to the idea of walking around cut & paste levels stabbing at overgrown beetles, some of which spew forth a green mist that kills you in a few seconds.

Fortunately no such people exist, and therefore you are well advised to skip this game, and play something like Deus Ex which is six years old now but is a far far better game. That comment also applies to anyone who has played an finished Deus Ex multiple times.
