This is one of the worst Mario sports games I've ever played.
The biggest problem with this game is the abysmal controls. Like when you press a button to swing your golf club and aim for the ball to fly, the ball doesn't go very far at all. It only goes a few inches at a time, which will take forever to sink in a hole. Either the controls are broken or I just don't know how to play it correctly. Because of this major issue, this game is very hard and frustrating to play.
Second, I saw that Mario was next to Luigi on the game cover with Peach and Daisy. How on Earth can you play as Luigi? So far I can only play as Mario in the single player mode. I never actually played two player modes, so I don't know if you can play as Luigi in that mode. There are a few modes like tournament, stroke and other very few game modes.
The graphics also look horrible for an NES game. The graphics are inferior to the original Super Mario Bros. which is kind of sad. The black outlines are way too thick and the colors of the land are way too dark. The graphics look more like they could be in Mario Is Missing.
This is just a major discrais to Mario himself, and the Nintendo Company. I really dislike this game so much. I don't see how Game spot can give it a 6.0 out of 10. It deserves more like a 1 out of 10.
Presentation - 1 There is not a lot of modes, and you can only play as Mario for the most part.
Graphics - 1 The outlines are too thick, and the colors of the land are too dark.
Sound - 0 I don't remember hearing any music and sounds.
Game play - 0 The controls are flat out abysmal.
Lasting Approval - 2 If you can get past the controls, this game can entertain you before you get bored quickly.
