NeoGeo Battle Coliseum (PS2) is GREAT but, the execution was OKAY.

I just bought this game today used and I'm glad I didn't buy it new. I was excited at the prospect of playing with characters from the Samurai Showdown, Fatal Fury, World Heroes, King Of Fighters series and hoping it was up to par with another fighter by the name of Marvel VS. Capcom 2 (PS2) Close, but not quite. Although there is an array of characters to choose from something just wasn't right. What even more dissapointing was the special moves were hard to pull off which left me frustrated. It just doesn't feel epic whatsoever like MVC2 did. The backgrounds were kinda cool and the soundtrack was *meh* it just isn't memorable at all. It was cool to tag my favorite fighters but, it was just too slow tag-wise for me. You KO someone and you have to wait for the next fight to begin! bring out the next contestant!! well, I didn't add this game to my collection for the simple fact that at best this game was a rental and that I'll be getting my refund since it is a used game. I really wanted to like this game and really had high hopes but, they were dashed needless to say. If you are a hardcore NEOGEO fan then this is a MUST BUY but, if you want a deep experience and smooth gameplay and vibrant graphics then by all means look elsewhere. For me, I just expected more from NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and hopefully this won't be the last time they make a game like this but, it could learn alot from Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. BRIGHTER colors, SMOOTHER animation, AWESOME backgrounds, and EASIER-TO-PULL-OFF special moves and you could have had a winner:(
