Almost there

I don't mind this game. I think it's visually pleasing, the gameplay is addicting and the plot isn't that bad.
The issue I have with this game it's its difficulty level. For most of the game, it's more than easy to win jobs and races and battles. But then suddenly, it gets hard: you have to steal a car for example, drive it to the other side of the town in under 5 minutes, escape the cops and not to damage the car. The wanted level is 5 which means police SUVs are going to ram you like there's no tomorrow and gang up on you. It's just discouraging.
And don't get me started on the music. It's my personal belief that the makers went deaf while making the game and decided to throw a little bit of everything in. So we have rock, Justice's electronic beats, then we have some oriental music and Spanish songs with guitar line taken from Like I Love You by Justin Timberlake. It's all a mess. Don't get me wrong, the music is great, but it's very chaotic, the tracks don't match eachother and the rest is just not very good racing music, like Ghosts by Ladytron.
The gameplay is nice, as mentioned. Not very original and not bringing anything new to the table, but enjoyable. The plot is somewhat believable, but there are some holes in it, one of them being, since you're a cop that's undercover, why can't other cops cut you some slack?
The game overall borderlines on expectable and generic, and doesn't bring enough to the table to be fully revolutionizing. It lacks character and substance to be the next amazing racing title.
