NCAA Football 05 had promise and is still a solid game but disappointed compared to last year's game.

I was looking forward to a lot of the new things that were being added to NCAA Football 05 .The Home Field Advantage, big hits, the lighting and Dynasty Mode. One of the few problems I got is with the graphics. They look very good, but one of the MAIN reason I purchased a XBOX was for the better graphics and EA Sports in general hasn't seemed to take advantage of the XBOX's power. Along with graphics, another problem I got with the game is that the players walk through each other way too much. ONe of my guys will get a sack and while he's celebrating he'll walk through other players like they're ghosts are something. Those are my two main problems with NCAA Football 2005,they don't ruin the game, but I feel that if these two things were fixed then it would really add to the game.

Okay now for the good features about NCAA Football '05. The new Home Field Advantage is great,I love it.At times I felt as if I was at an actual College Game. I especially love playing in the Rivalry Games now more than ever. It actually feels like a real Rivalry Game and not just a regular game. Gameplay is good. I've heard people complain about having tons of dropped passes and I do get my fair share of dropped passes, but not as many as some people claim. I noticed that when I switch to my receiver and catch the ball myself I have alot more success compared to if I just let the CPU try to catch it. One thing on the gameplay front that brought the game down to me was when running or calling pass plays towards the middle of the field there is a slow-down that hurts the gameplay for me. I really like a lot of stuff on NCAA but this really hurts the gameplay and that is the most important part of video games. I do love the fact that your players' attributes can get better or worse during the game depending on how you play.As for the Dynasty Mode,it's just AMAZING!!!The SI feature is back which is great and I love that you can name an Offensive and Defensive Team Captain.Another cool thing is that your players' ratings can go up during the season.

All in all,NCAA Football 2005 is a very good game with a lot of cool features but slow-down and players walking through each other as well as more drops than what should happen really hurt the game. Solid title but a bit of a disappointment from last year.
