The ultimate college football experience!

User Rating: 9.5 | NCAA Football 2004 XBOX
This year of NCAA Football is arguably the best in any football series, professional or college! All 119 Division 1-A teams are available along with some I-AA teams! There is also the standard create-a-player and team features that are common these days!

The gameplay here is solid, although in my experience, the running game is way too easy! The passing game, all too often, suffers from dropped passes and quick DBs who "magically" fly to the receiver! There are some interesting game modes that most players will brush off or try once, but the College Classics mode is worthy of your attention! Taking roughly a dozen important and historical game scenarios and putting them in your hands, including the Flutie Pass and the Stanford/Cal lateral frenzy!

The player's faces and bodies are very well done, while the crowd and sideline players look cheap! The graphics still clash every now and then, watching the ball go through the running back's hand, and defenders forming into one another! These are small complaints when it comes down to it, but you cannot help but notice it!

The sound is average! I love the team of Herbstreit, Corso, and Nessler, but too often they use the same lines you have heard a million times! Other than them, there is nothing else that stands out! The crowd cheers loudly when their team is winning, they boo when they are losing, and the stands clear when the home team is being blown away!

For those of you that want to get the most out of this game, you need a lot of patience! The Dynasty mode alone takes place over 50 years (roughly 600 games)! But for those completist out there, they will gladly collect all the pennants and rivalry trophies, complete all the College Classics, and stomp through the Dynasty mode! Recommended for ALL sports fans!
