Some new tweaks added to this years installment, but not enough to make this a standout game.

I know there are alot of fans of the NCAA football games,so just bare with me on this review.NCAA 10 is the newest chapter in the long running ea sports game franchise. While it adds some new features, there are not enough to warrant the $60 price tag.

Some of the newer features in ncaa 10 are done very well. The transitions to day and night are more realistic and make the game feel as if it is really on tv.And the lighting is done good as well.It adds alot to the game, while small it is a good upgrade to the game.Another new (well, just revamped) feature is the road to glory mode. This is pretty much campus legend mode on the older games, but changed to a much better presentation. It has a tv style feel to the mode that shows off highlights of the game you just played and your career.Erin Andrews is on this mode to talk about your character as well as Kirk Heirbstreet. He will analyze how you played and talk about how much potential you have etc.

As well as road to glory mode there is the standard dynasty mode, exhibition mode, minigames, and some other online options. This is where you will get the most replay value of 10 in the online dynasty mode.Get together with friends and others to play school vs school.Other than that, this is pretty much the same as last year in terms of game modes.Which, lets face it,there are only so many that you could have being that this is a football game.

There are downsides to this game that are very annoying.Take for instance the high school football games. The field is the exact same that you played on last year, even down to the sign on the billboard. Many other things are the same as well, such as the announcer, animations and sounds. But there is a marching band on the field before the game. Not a big deal to me,but a nice addition to see something different. Then there is the music,it gets so old I find myself turning it off so it will not drive me crazy.

The dorm room is the biggest change in this years game. Now you can actually move around it and look around, instead of just having menus. This is a very welcome change. We don't have to settle for just bland and boring menus only.

This is a pretty good game if you are a college football fan or like football games in general. The core gameplay elements are still there as well as some new features, also a new reversed camera on defense. You can turn the camera to point at the offensive side of the ball.Making it much easier to get off the line on d.But too much of this game is just rehashed from last years version and doesn't have the wow factor that you would like.I would say either rent this or wait until it goes to a cheaper price to buy it.A good game and better than last years, but not enough new features to make this a truly standout college football game.Good but not great.
