A good football game that adds some cool things to the series and adds some annoyances.

NCAA Football 2007 plays like most football games. Pick the play, throw to receivers that have large buttons floating above them, and so forth. 2007 has everything that makes a great game, its only problem is trying too hard.

The momentum meter gives stat bonuses based on who has it, and how much they have. An easy example of this is during kickoffs. With no momentum my kicker makes it to the 10 yard line, with full momentum he kicks it into the middle of the end zone. It is a cool concept, but not really necessary or anything to lose your mind over. It can get annoying if the opponent scores first and gets a full momentum meter. What used to be only a 7 point problem is now compounded by all of their players being better than they are normally. The return drive becomes one of sacks, stops, and turnovers.

They dynasty mode is the same as ever, except that now players can act a fool and you need to discipline them. Again, a cool idea that detracts from me actually playing football. The same goes for excessive celebration penalties which can be racked up with little or no effort. The Campus Legends mode allows you to create a player and follow his life around campus. You can choose how to spend your time, studying or partying or whatever, but is fairly flat. One more time, this is another cool feature that detracts from me actually playing football.

NCAA Football 2007 is a good addition to the series. The extra features can be enjoyed or mostly ignored (besides momentum) and should be a good addition for any fan of the series.
