All current NBA games owe their life to this one.

First of all, this was the first NBA game to feature the 3/4 court perspective. This completely changed how basketball games were played. It also featured the ability to pass and catch passes on the run. Earlier games forced the players to stand still to catch a pass and this made fast breaks impossible.

The graphics for this game were amazing for it's time too. It may have been one of the first sports games with true 3D graphics. You could rotate the screen during instant replays and change camera views. Remember, this was the first game where you could do that. So, next time you're playing NBA Live 09 on your HDTV marveling at your last dunk from all different angles, thank NBA Live 95.

A guilty pleasure of this game was turning off fouls and then knocking over the other teams players by running into them and then racking up about 100 steals and winning 200-0. That was always fun. It was even more fun co-op. My friend and I would steal the ball and then alley-oop to each other and try to see how many alleys we could get before we ooped. I think our record was 4. Ahh...my wasted, yet extremely fun, youth.
