This year's version of NBA Live feels really forced to be "cool" and is not that fun.

Boy, someone just took a dump in my ice cream. After devoting hours into such a fun game last year, I feel like some white guy at a computer desk is really trying hard to be cool at the cost of making a half-decent game. So what's wrong with it, you ask? I'll tell you. The first thing that comes to mind is the frustration while playing. Most players do NOT play like their NBA counterparts. Another issue is that the computer is waaaaay too good at shooting. I often look at the computer team's stats at the end of each game and find that their shooting % is well over 500 for most players, while mine is well below 300. Huh? And it's not just the team I'm using, but it seems as if every team plays like this for me. And I'm pretty good at NBA Live, if I do say myself. But one of the main sources of the frustration is the ref's calls. Calls are made way too often for not even touching a player. It's almost as if when you come within 1 foot of a player, a foul is called. Now, the player models are nice, but they are really cartoonish. One of the new modes, Slam Dunk Contest, is really hard to understand and is overhyped. Oh yeah, there is not a single song that is not rap on the soundtrack. So if you buy this game, I hope you have fun with its lackluster dynasty, terrible gameplay, and about everything else you can find something to complain about.
