Every year EA Sports promise a new revolutionary NBA Live, this year they finally told the truth and it's a big step up.
Now starting my review with all this being said does feel slightly weird, because for a small period of time i consider myself a strong NBA 2K fanboy and said that NBA Live should give up on all consoles more than just the Wii & PC system games. Well i can now take that back with this new edition for NBA Live 10 on Xbox 360.
Online play is the best i have seen in any sports video game ever! I'm in Australia and as a good portion of players are from the United States, every so few times i might come across a really bad connection and nothing kills a game like terrible online play from time to time. So far i have played 3 straight games online(and won them all lol) and never experienced such as a slight bit of lag. This is great.
The difference between Live & 2K are not huge that you should get carried away and cancel one out(don't become a fanboy, trust i learned my lesson quickly), because remember they are both games that are only out to entertain you and keep an open mind to the love of basketball these great game companies share with the fans. Overall like i said the game just comes together with alot more solid feel to the gameplay aspect and sure you could complain the major difference between Live & 2K is that the NBA Live series plays alot more with a overall arcade style and once again comparing NBA 2K games is like saying they have more of a somewhat simulation type of game.
Which ever you choose there is no huge shock on being a bad game but this year NBA Live 10 is a step up that you will actually notice than any other game in the Live series and if they only continue to improve the competition may get very heated here between the two.
Finally i'd prefer NBA Live 10 so far this year but i play this games all-year round and my decision might switch from time to time. Either way your getting a good game here excellent presentation and gameplay that finally looks and feels just as good!
