There is much to like about this fun basketball game. Great improvement from last year's installment.
The previous game, NBA Live 09 was an utter shame. All the players had that same body: big torso, stick legs. The only difference is the face of the players. It was just unrealistic. The game-play was also unrealistic.
But this year, things have changed. For the better.
Player models have improved tremendously, they really look like their real life counterparts. Their bodies are accurate also, not the boring same player model as last year's.
Game-play wise, this is where it really wins your heart. They've improved it to the point that it's fun to play, but also being realistic along the way. And it's rewarding to call plays. And the plays are signature wise. And this is what sets it apart from NBA 2K10, that is the strategy.
This game is easy to pick up for beginners.
Now the only things that mar this game from being truly great, are the visuals, the commentary and some more improvements to game-play. Visually, the game is okay but somehow the player models are too shiny, as if in real life, NBA player's are that sweaty. The commentary is also lacklustre. They need to put more energy to that. And the game-play is pretty nice all around. But they could have made it better by adding more signature moves, make it as diverse as in 2K10.
