I read that it is impossible to stop the CPU from driving in and slamin' in NBA Live 06, but I did not experience that, some players need to work at improving their skillz. I believe the game can still use improvement, after playing a game like FIFA 06 or NHL 06 it becomes obvious the game comes up short. Some annoying problems come up when the CPU is controlling my team mates, for example I like to position an extra player in the paint as an extra measure in case the opposing team drives, but as soon as I switch control to a different player, my team mate moves out of the paint, allowing Shaq to slam. Also when I was not controlling a player on my team the CPU would foul for me.
The graphics were done better than Madden, but don't compare to FIFA 06, or NHL 06. On PC Sports where's the sweat? PC's can and have gone beyond Xbox 360, & Play Station 3. Sports we get short changed especially Madden & NBA Live. Even though it is only 2006, still NBA Live could be a lot better, I say that because of what PC Hardware can do!
The game play at least can be fast and smooth, as long as you have a good enough PC for the game.
It is still an NBA Live game and has many pluses to the game as expected in an NBA Live game as well. I play when I am in the mood for Basket Ball.
