Simply put, this is the best sim basketball game ever made. It is by no means flawless, but it corrects lots of issues from the previous game and is the best experience to be had in virtual basketball. First, the fast break has been added back into the game along with the ability to control the dunk. This makes for some exciting fast pace action. The control has been vastly improved over last years incarnation. The addition of a shot stick adds refined control over shooting and dunking mechanics. Ball handling control has also been simplified by adding shoulder button modifiers that are easy to use. The AI appears to be smarter on defense and offense following schemes in line with the teams abilities. For the most part the player designs are the best sports character models of this generation. The gameplay is smooth and easy to learn and everthing just seems effortless. My only minor gripes I have with the game is that it may be too easy to dunk and for the first time there is no support for 720 progressive scan. Also, using stadium music causes the game to freeze at times. Overall this is the new stardard by which all other basketball sims will be measured.
