My brother is a big fan of the espn 2k series and when he bought this game he was very disappointed. He could not believe how much they changed the controls and added an unnecessary shot stick. You have to do crossover and iso moves with the same analog stick you use to move the player normally. The dunks are the same, they look generic and the superstars are more unstoppable than ever. Player models are too shiny as if they have been dipped in oil or rubbed down with vaseline. I still can't see why this game is so overrated. The gameplay may be a bit more realistic than some of the other basketball games but it's not half as fun as live 06 and it won't be as fun as NBA 06 either. They need to add some more exciting features to the game as it is relatively stiff in both gameplay and the fact that the players are actually too stiff. My brother returned the game in less than an hour and did not even get all his money back so I advise you to rent this generic game first.
