NBA2K12 Honest Review

User Rating: 9 | NBA 2K12 X360
NBA2K12 is the lastest addition to the NBA2K series.

There are more then a fair share of problems with this game, but there is enough new and good things to overshadow that.

The new Legends mode is amazing fun, especially when playing with Jordan, Bird, Magic, and Wilt. All of the games are worth playing just for the nostagia, but also for unlocking a ton of old classic teams for your own personal usage.

The graphics, well, haven't really changed much. The fans look a bit more realistic, but that's about it.

My Player has changed a ton, some for the better, some for the worst. The new cooler parts are earning a salary and having Pre-Draft interviews. Some of the bad includes sub-par mechanics, difficulty problems as a Rookie, and TERRIBLE computer authorized player trades.

On to the gameplay, I feel that 2K11 offered a more... balanced game, as 2K12 seems to have more buggy and glitched mechanics, for a lack of a better word. I don't see how Tim Duncan can chase down Rajon Rondo on a fast break, but he can in this game. Three point and free throw shooting also both have seem to been made harder.

The rosters and ratings are not up to par in my opinion, as you have the stars like LeBron, Howard, and Kobe up all at 90+, but then everyone else seems to fall below 80. Mike Bibby is a 60 overall in this game. He may not be in his prime anymore, but that is way too low.

Overall, the game has changed. Some for the good, some for the bad. I still highly recommend this game, as long as you can get past a few gameplay problems.
