I had played NBA 2K 08 on a PS3 during a visit at my relative's house, and it was just great: I could define each player on the court, the fans in the background were doing realistic jeering and cheering, and each player seemed to have their own style of shooting, making each one unique. Upon having great expectations for the newest addition to the lineup, I bought a copy on my Wii. When I played the Finals (Lakers vs. Bulls), I thought this game was worthy of being the best addition of the series. At first,the game seemed to have unlimited variety of commentary. But, to my surprise, the same reporters sputtered out the same, obvious dialogue. Also, by finishing the first 6 games, the basketball games seemed repetitive. On the subject of games, some layups and other "moves" seemed unnatural (ex: turnarounds were slow, layups were shot from the backboard). If I know better, you should buy previous titles, because this one shows little promise in its replay value and gameplay.
NBA 2k11 is a great sequel to the previous game (with bad controls) even better EA has not released elite yet so big advantage there. Jordan challenges is the newest feature which allies players to relieve the past mom... Read Full Review
