This game is a mediocre, but the features such as fantasy tracks and Thunder Cards are PS One exclusives. You get this.

User Rating: 5.8 | NASCAR Thunder 2002 PS
For the first time, EA Sports gave you all twenty-three tracks in NASCAR Thunder 2002. PlayStation One brought exclusive features for that console, such as fantasy tracks, happy hour, and Thunder Cards. The fantasy tracks are Albuquerque, Boca Chica, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach-Road Course, Devil's Canyon, 4th From The Sun, Dustbowl, Black Box Proving Grounds, Mile High, Southern, New York, Hawaii, and Treasure Island. To get four of the fantasy tracks, you must complete a certain season and finish first.

Devil's Canyon: Finish First in Short Track Challenge
Cocoa Beach: Finish First in Superspeedway Shootout
Boca Chica: Finish First in Road Course Challenge
Albuquerque: Finish First in Full Season (without fantasy)

The remaining fantasy tracks except for Boca Chica, Albuquerque, Devil's Canyon, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach-Road Course, and Treasure Island are unlocked by getting Thunder Cards. Also, you do not get Career Mode; but there are a plethora of Thunder Challenges to keep yourself busy. However, you do not get the Fantasy Drivers. When you start the game, you will be able to race at Treasure Island and Daytona Beach-Road Course.

Unlike PlayStation 2 and XBOX, you are lucky to have a second chance to practice on the track called Happy Hour rather than having to . Because fantasy tracks appear in only the PS One version of NASCAR Thunder 2002, you get more places to turn right, instead of just two tracks that are road courses like in the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2 versions of the game.

On the Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft XBOX, you can unlock a few drivers from the NASCAR Busch Series each time you win a championship in season mode.

I got part of this review from Warhawk, who gave me the Fantasy Tracks and how to unlock them.
