Epic Scale Fun

User Rating: 9 | Napoleon: Total War PC
Napoleon Total War is a very addictive game for those who like strategy. It is tactically demanding at times. But once you get to a certain power it is wonderful. You can lay waste to entire countries, control entire seas and field massive armies while leaving a trail of dead. Compared to Empire Total War, NTW (napoleon total war) is more fast paste in combat mode. The sounds are different and unit scale is a bit larger

The graphics are a bit better. There is dust that rises into the air when a large unit of infantry is charging through the dirt. Flags far in the distance are blurred from the hot sun. The sounds are different and unit scale is a bit larger. GFX= 8/0

Online play is fun and has a lot of clans and I personally found the clan matches and clan creating opportunity to be magnificent. There are a few different modes such as quick battle which allows you to drop into someone's campaign mode as there enemy during an engagement. There is also sea battle and land battle of course all allowing up to 8 players. MultiPlay= 9/10

The AI is not too bad. Not nearly as stupid as ETW's AI. They don't charge you instantly in NTW. They will stand toe to toe on the field of battle with you for some time before they order a charge. They will attempt to flank you, charge you, and they hide units as well. On the campaign map they do pretty well. They will block your trade routes on land and at sea. They will put armies in your ports, mills, schools, and towns to get you to come out of a city. AI=7/10

Over all I think this is the best Total War game yet. The action is massive, and the AI is to a point where it is not completely stupid. Overall it is very enjoyable and has a pretty good replay value.
